... Until yesterday that is! Actually I went to pilates, but same difference.
It was so relaxing. Certainly didn't burn as many calories or do anything near body pump or body attack, but it was great.
Down 2.2 last week, so I've got lots to do this week to stay with that! I wasn't too great today. I'm hoping to try a smoothie this weekend with chia seeds to see how my tummy holds up. If its fine, I'll start next week. I'm taking off Friday - so I plan to venture to the gym in the early afternoon. Nice change of pace before happy hour!
Off to watch the season finale of Parenthood.

Down, down, down. That's GREAT!
This sprinkles is going down... down... down. 2.2 to be exact. Which leads to a total of -5.6 :) That includes no gym in a week and a wine night with the best friends one could ask for!
On the agenda:
- Green smoothies starting next week. With the chia seeds I found at Whole Foods.
- Dandelion root tea starting this week.
- Going back to the gym!!
It's gonna be a great week!

Day 2 of Spraining...
Found out yesterday that I sprained my foot. That stinks. STINKS! I had just gotten back into a routine of going to the gym, and hurt my foot while at the gym. Blasted! It doesn't hurt too bad during the day, but after being on my feet all day, its swollen and hurting come afternoon and evening.
While propping it up with ice, its a good time to point out the positives:
1. Its GORGEOUS outside! I'm so excited and ready for Spring :)
2. The wonderful weather is making me think about a time that I would be ready for a 5K.
3. I have time to plan my grocery list for next week's new lifestyle changes: green smoothies, chia seeds, and flaxseed.
4. Received the best piece of mail: $17,500 in Teacher Loan Forgiveness approved :)
5. Income Based Repayment for student loans kicks in next month! Along with grad school loans :(

Week 3
So back to the blogging life. The light at the end of the grad school tunnel makes it a little easier to find some time I didn't know existed. I have deemed 2012 the year of the 'Selfish Lara'. I know, very different from the last 27, right?! Well... yes! I am going to make it selfish by doing things for ME. To make me better, happier, and healthier.
Hows it going so far? Great! Well, until my bump in thefoot road today. Patient First diagnosed me with a sprained foot :( So since I've been on a great roll with Weight Watchers and the gym (hand-in-hand partnership for me), I'm slightly depressed this evening. So looks like I'll be trying some cycling or yoga in the upcoming days.
Weigh in is this Saturday. I'm thinking after a weekend off because of a baby-snuggling weekend in St.Louis, a stressful week of only a day at the gym, and a much needed and deserved wine night, its going to be a positive number. And in this case, I'd rather have a negative number (its not dealing with finances ;)).
Until next time...
